We want every order to arrive ready for the next saltwater session. This policy explains returns, refunds, damaged items, exchanges, and shipping timing for OceanicAngler orders.
1. Overview
OceanicAngler builds its store around confidence, practical support, and clear expectations. If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or not suitable for your setup, contact us so we can review the order and guide the next step.
Please do not send items back without contacting us first. Returns sent without approval may be delayed, refused, or returned to sender.
2. Return Window
You may request an eligible return within 30 days of delivery. The return request date is based on the delivery date shown by the carrier or order tracking record.
Orders outside the return window may not be eligible for return, refund, or exchange unless required by applicable law or approved by OceanicAngler support.
3. How To Start A Return
- Contact OceanicAngler through the website contact page within the return window.
- Include your order number, the item name, the reason for the request, and photos if the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect.
- Wait for return instructions before shipping the item back.
- Pack the item securely with all original packaging, tags, manuals, parts, and accessories where applicable.
- Use a trackable shipping method and keep your tracking record until the return is resolved.
4. Eligible Item Condition
To be eligible for a standard return, items should be unused, clean, undamaged, and returned with original packaging, tags, manuals, parts, and accessories where applicable.
Items that may not be returnable
- Used, worn, washed, altered, damaged, or incomplete items.
- Items missing original packaging, tags, manuals, parts, or accessories.
- Custom, personalized, special-order, clearance, final-sale, or gift-card items.
- Products affected by saltwater use, wear, improper storage, misuse, modification, or normal wear and tear.
- Personal-use items where return would create a hygiene or safety concern after opening or use.
OceanicAngler may refuse a return or reduce a refund if returned items do not meet the condition requirements.
5. Damaged, Defective, Or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery. Include your order number, photos of the item, photos of the packaging, and a short description of the issue.
After review, OceanicAngler may offer a replacement, exchange, store credit, refund, return label, or another suitable resolution depending on the issue, item availability, and applicable law.
6. Refunds
Once an approved return is received and inspected, we will notify you whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds are usually issued to the original payment method.
- Refund processing after approval may take 5 to 10 business days depending on the payment provider or bank.
- Original shipping charges are not refundable unless the return is due to an OceanicAngler error, damaged item, defective item, or incorrect item.
- Return shipping costs are generally the customer’s responsibility for preference, fit, unwanted item, or change-of-mind returns.
- If the issue is confirmed as our error, damaged, defective, or incorrect, OceanicAngler may cover return shipping or provide another resolution.
7. Exchanges
Exchanges depend on product availability. If you need a different size, color, or product, contact us and we will confirm the best route.
In some cases, the fastest solution is to return the original item once approved and place a new order for the preferred item.
8. Shipping Timing And Delivery Expectations
Shipping on delivery timing can vary by product, route, and carrier handoff. Delivery timing may vary by product availability, fulfillment location, carrier volume, customs review, weather, address accuracy, and regional delivery conditions.
Order processing time and delivery time are separate. If an item is expected to ship later than the timing shown at checkout or in the order confirmation, OceanicAngler will communicate available options, which may include waiting for the item, choosing an alternative where available, or canceling and refunding an unshipped item where required.

- OceanicAngler is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect addresses, carrier disruptions, customs holds, severe weather, or events outside reasonable control.
